Ontario’s Bill 60 just passed November 24, 2025 (not yet in effect)

The bill, officially called the “Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act.”

– The timeline for evictions just got shorter (15 to 7 days)
– Compensation for personal-use evictions will be eliminated (with 120 days notice)
– Tenants will have to pay to defend themselves (pay 50% of rent claimed before being heard)
