Melanie specializes in Small Claims, Landlord and Tenant Matters, Mediation & Workplace Investigation. As a licensed Paralegal, Commissioner of Oath and Notary Public, she serves clients in the greater Ottawa and Kanata areas.
Melanie was born in East Africa and immigrated to the UK, where she worked for the Lord Chancellors Department, as a Civil Servant in the court system.
Since she arrived in Ottawa, Melanie has trained in a second career as a Paralegal and is licensed with the Law Society of Ontario.
Tesota Paralegal was in Finalist in the West Ottawa Business Excellence Awards, 2016.
Melanie was voted Ottawa’s Favourite Paralegal, 2017 by FACES Magazine.
Mission Statement
Tesota is the species name of a hardwood desert dwelling tree, commonly referred to as the Arizona Ironwood Tree (Olneya Tesota).
The Tesota tree can thrive in very harsh conditions and can live up to 1500 years. It is known to provide shelter that protects and nurtures other plants and animals in its vicinity.
